2009 Landscape Design Award, Richard J. Weber, Landscape Architect and Owner of Springhouse Gardens was honored with a 2009 Landscape Design Award by the Perennial Plant Association

Initiated in 1992, this program recognizes design projects that are exemplary in use of herbaceous perennials to help create balanced and beautiful landscapes.

The winning project is a residential design project at the home of Sandra and David O’Neal in a pastoral country setting. It all began in the Fall of 2004 with a request from the O’Neal’s to create a side garden with lots of perennial color from April through November. The outcome was a combination of 4 distinct garden areas that work together to create a unified effect.
