The main focus of Springhouse Gardens has always been plants- hardy trees, shrubs, evergreens, vines, groundcovers and perennials that will flourish in Kentucky. Here you will find not only the most popular plants of the Bluegrass such as boxwoods, hydrangeas, hostas, daylilies and sweetbay magnolias, but also more unusual and hard-to-find plants like witchhazels, Japanese maples, winterberries, lenten roses, and beautyberries.
We love searching out the best plants- old favorites and exciting new varieties. We try to get them in larger sizes than those available from mail order sources, thus making more of an impact in your garden. We also grow and sell many hard to find native plants such as Pawpaw, spicebush, bloodroot and various milkweeds great for our local bee, butterfly, and pollinator population.
